A simple Gmail/Salesforce.com mashup that allows you to quickly capture a Gmail message as an activity in Salesforce and associate it with a lead or contact. Note: this tool is currently in alpha. Please use at your own risk. How do I use it? Step 1 Add a bookmarklet to your browser. What is a bookmarklet? Let me make a customized bookmarklet for you... Enterprise Edition Salesforce.com user name: Gmail address: Hosted domain (i.e., "yourdomain.com" or leave blank for gmail.com accounts): Gmail password (optional): Note: For security reasons, it is safest not to have your Gmail password included in the bookmarklet. If you leave this field blank, you will be prompted for your Gmail password each time you click on the bookmarklet. Step 2 Click on the bookmarklet from within a Gmail message Use Gmail as your normally would. When you read an email that you would like to post as an activity in Salesforce, simply press the GmailForce bookmarklet. (Make sure the email you want to post is open in the Gmail user interface.)
